They don’t really have new leadership. The same mullahs and Supreme Leader have been in place for decades. Like Ahmedinijad, the new “leader” isn’t much more than a figure head. Not much political power. The sanctions might be wearing them down. But they are in talks with the Russians about building a new reactor allvoices.com

Maybe they just sense that Obama’s in a negotiating mood and they want to see what kind of deal they can get. Might just be another song and dance and negotiations will break down once they demand Israel give up its nukes.
Either way I think the Iranians feel safe. Not much chance of international action and the domestic unrest from a few years ago has gone. I doubt they’re serious about giving up their nuke program. The North Koreans play the same game.
