No, they’d need to stay. The GOP can’t start driving people out of the country. I really don’t think the majority (even the majority of registered Republicans) would like the idea of jailing political foes. If no one stays around to stand up to them it will just be an encouragement.

I don’t think the majority of Germans or Soviets were fond of what Shicklegruber or Dugashvili did, but they quickly learned the value of keeping their mouths shut.
