What has happened during this pandemic is that people with money have gone ahead and bid up houses while the supply has been very tight (due to the pandemic.)

And I contend that the financial market and banking system cannot allow the prices to come down (or at least not very much), so there will be an effort to keep housing prices up.

All of this works out to the idea that we are reverting to an older, feudalistic, system, where land ownership becomes the domain of the wealthy, and most people live on land at the whims of the wealthy.
