Sessions is already in a perjury trap, and already on the record having committed perjury.
He also doesn’t seem to understand that he isn’t the President’s personal lawyer, but the top lawyer for the Department of Justice.
It’s a nuance lost on both Sessions and Trump.
Sessions’ obligation is to the Constitution, not to Trump personally. Both Sessions and Trump seem to think Sessions’ job is to protect Trump, not the Constitution and uphold the law.
