True. But if he loses and is in prison (likely to happen since he would not be able to stop the federal cases against him — unless SCOTUS has done it), he will lose his hold on the party. It’s not like Hitler who was a young man when he served his time; Trump is elderly and losing in 2024 will end his reign of tyranny. There are so many other potential GOP tyrants eager to be his heir and a loss will free them to seek that leadership.
