A bigot is defined as “someone who treats members of a group with hatred and intolerance.” If it’s “bigoted” to elucidate Islamic doctrine—which itself is replete with hatred and intolerance—then, yes, Robert Spencer is a “bigot.” But there is much to be lost and very little to be gained by so broadening the definition of “bigotry” that it now includes anyone who dares criticize any aspect of Islam.

I can understand why those advancing the sharia agenda would want to smear people by calling them bigots and Islamophobes. I can’t understand why LGF, which used to be in the vanguard of anti-idiotarianism, would do so.
