It’s one of those odd dichotomies that seems to affect the Right these days. One moment, “Diginity of work!” The next, “You’re worth nothing! Nothing, you lazy bastards.”

But at the same time: I WORKED MY WAY UP FROM NOTHING BY MY OWN BOOTSTRAPS!!!! ALL BY MYSELF, NOBODY ELSE HELPED ME!!!!

The Bible has this to say about such people, and it’s not flattering.
