The one guy who could, and did, was President Obama. Trump tore it up because nothing holds value to him if he can’t get credit for it.

Yes, Trump is a racist and his promotion of birtherism arose from that, but his efforts to undo every accomplishment of Obama is traced to a more personal animosity: Obama’s mocking him at the 2011 WHCD. Trump seeks vengeance against anyone who does not hold him in esteem, especially when the slights were in public. That is his sole motivation in his attacks on Obama.
