Afghanistan is complicated enough but to throw our asses in the fire like that was irresponsible. Saddam was completely contained. There were foreign inspectors in the country and who knows what else (spies,cia etc.). Invading Iraq has weakened our ability to respond to other possible crisis and opened the door to unforseen consequences. Sorry to be so vague.
