Ha, the social contract… Funny thing is: the massive disparity between the poor in the US and the poor in the rest of the world. being poor in the US is being rich in the rest of the world. the reason for this, to paraphrase President Kennedey, is the “rising tide” brought about by a free and fair financial system. this will do more for the poor of this country than any welfare program could ever hope to do.
