Yes. As makeitstop said, if George was stalking this Appearson (I always read that in my mind as “a person”) person then George would seem to be in the wrong. But what if this person didn’t like George stalking him and confronted George threatening violence, then George would be in the right to defend himself.

It is a fucked up law.
