Not only was I aware of it, but my wife just confirmed it for me! She added that she could only speak for her culture (Javanese) and not for the rest of her peoples. However, since that speaks for 40% of Indonesians and another 40% share a similar (equal parts Animist/Hindu/Muslim) cultural background, I feel safe calling first cousin marriage unacceptable in Indonesia.

Oh, and this isn’t a great blog, it’s the best blog!
