I’m not sure what to say, I actually got bored with both Bioshocks, never got past the middle. They just don’t feel right as shooters, and don’t cut it as rpgs either. I’m not saying they’re bad games, it’s just that I never got into them.

There is no reason an FPS can’t have a compelling story, or that we shouldn’t expect one just because its harder to do.

To argue otherwise invites the soft bigotry of low expectations…

As formulaic in places as it was, Halo’s story was gripping enough that I actually wanted to read the side novels to learn more about the universe it took place in, including the one that was just a retelling of the game more or less….
