They are annoying as all hell… one of their popular activities is attending live theatre, in full Red Hat regalia, which, for many patrons at smaller, intimate venues, is a fucking pain in the ass trying to see over some of their head ware.

The is not anecdotal. I’ve worked for many live theater’s and we have been putting up with this since they first started.

An emcee can go on stage before the performance, welcome them to the show, and then politely request they remove their headgear for the benefit of the patrons sitting behind them. Has this not been tried?
