Frankly, I find the ideas of Rapture and, more broadly, of “End Times” more stupid or, if you prefer, dangerous than other articles of Christian faith (and I quite like many of those articles, btw, even as an atheist), to the extent they adversely affect peoples’ real-world decisions. “End Times a-comin’? Well, then, I don’t to plan for my future, or my kids’ future, do I?” That sort of thing.
