The PhysOrg article is not really that different than the blurb I linked.

That AAAS meeting was a group, a very tiny group, of Americans all of whom are much more educated than the average person.

My belief is what we are seeing in Florida is much more a reflection of where our society is at today, regarding race, than that AAAS meeting.
