That was pretty bad, but think this was an even worse instance during the same parade - one of their new tanks (not merely the armored vehicle/platform on which the Russians are basing their new armor designs) broke down right outside Lenin’s tomb, and despite it being clearly a screwup, the announcers were trying to claim that this was scripted into showing how they can get the tank out of a scrape.

Between, the announcement recently that the T-50 fifth gen fighter’s order is getting cut down from 50 to 12 (effectively tech demonstrators), and the launch failure of their new anti-air missile, I’d say any talk about Russia setting up to overtake us technologically is a bit…premature.
