I don’t disagree. Nor would he, from what I could tell by reading his posts. I think Democrats have assumed that people would understand why things like ACA, raising the minimum wage, workplace protections, etc. would be good for them (or even TPP, which may have been an improvement over anything Trump will have to offer). We just haven’t done a good job of going to the places—now I’m getting into anymouse territory—where people can make those connections. I know that racism is a part of it, but it’s not all of it. We’re losing at the local level, and that’s the real scary thing.

We have to find a way to talk our issues in soundbite form. Anyhow, we’ll see what happens. The losing on a local level is troubling though.
