I don’t think you’re following me. I’m saying that the first half of the century helped lead the way for things like Rwanda, the Cultural Revolution, etc. It’s Trump, Johnson, and their allies pushing this tribalism on the world. You have some leaders out there like Merkel who thankfully realize that this is the most interconnected the world has ever been and getting away from the politics of nationalism and tribalism and others like Trump and Johnson returning to the politics of old, the us versus them. Trump encourages treating Hispanics like others here in the US just like Boris and the Brexiters do the same to Slavic people in the UK.

Unfortunately Angela Merkel is leaving the world stage in 2021 and, unless we elect Democrats to run everything, there will be no leader on the world stage with the power and world reputation to speak for freedom.
