I reiterate that I don’t think the GOP, or at least the leadership, really wants to have this fight in the middle of an election year. We’re just a few weeks away from the first debates, do they really want to draw questions about whether a Republican candidate would defund PP or further strangle abortion access if elected?

Normal people would think that through. The RWNJs don’t think, they react. This is their current outrage and any GOP hopeful who doesn’t join them in it, and the one after that, and the one after that, stands a chance of losing the all important Lunatic Vote to someone who does.
