I’m curious, because Kindle is an Android tablet.

I’ve found that not all Android tablets are created equal. I’ve bought two here in China. The first was passable, but the power supply crapped out after a few months and the tablet’s battery followed soon after. The second has good battery life and charges through the USB port, but its custom OS has stability problems. It loses apps — it’ll say the app is not installed even though the icon is still there and even though I used the app just the day before.

Another problem is China’s blocking of all things Google, so Play is basically crippled. So, I need a pad that’s not tied to Google services.
