There’s no easy solution. I’m in CA and oppose Calexit on the grounds that CA would end up next to a heavily-armed superpower run by malicious idiots.

It would not end well.

On top of being next to a Nuclear-Armed Republican Jesusland that’s got a hard on for the End Times:

CA has way too many far-far-far-lefties here for me to be comfortable with if they don’t have a counter-balance that keeps things center-left-ish. I can see the state self-destructing within 2 decades of Calexit. Single party rule is bad, even when not institutionalized by law, and we have that problem here now as it is. Luckily, Jerry Brown isn’t the DFH maniac the GOP tries to make him out to be. He’s not always going to be the governor obviously.

Also:

Russian cleptocrats want Calexit to happen so they can get away with rebuilding their empire while we diddle around with another civil war.

Chinese authoritarians want Calexit to happen so they can get away with building a new empire while we diddle around with another civil war.

Nothing good comes of this.
