According to Politico, Heritage had become too politicized and the board thought DeMint wasn’t the right person to return it to a real think tank that generated actual thoughtful conservative ideas. But then again, it doesn’t seem that modern conservatives have much of merit to contribute to public discourse these days.

Makes you wonder why they hired him in the first place. They knew what they were getting.
