I agree, but just a clarification, Gates is not a Republican. Nor is he a Democrat. He’s a lifelong Independent. Not a well known fact b/c the media didn’t want Bush to do anything right.

Still, if he’s a man of honor, which I expect he is, and he sees what’s coming for the military there’s no more courageous or patriotic an act he could perform for his country and the men and women serving under his supervision….
