Uh, correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t an even more elementary condition be that all the participants have to recognize the existence of Israel as a legitimate, sovereign state? Why is there no mention of this essential condition?

Because this is a condition which obviously not many states are willing to enforce, especially not those who have either a pretty large muslim population within their borders, or depend on ME oil, or love to stir up the situation there, like Putin.
The one country who should be able to enforce this - is on the side of those who cry that Israel occupies their territory.

(I still can’r get over the fact that nobody in PB0’s administration ‘had the time’ to see IDF General Gabriel Ashkenazi on his visit to Washington.)
