The natural consequences of premarital sex can be pretty harsh for a youngster, so I don’t recommend it. But falling from grace? Brother, we all fall short.

It must have something to do with the fact that a lot of early church fathers (St Paul, St Anthony) were very sexually conflicted and this tradition continues to echo throughout Christianity.

But we have made some progress, at least we don’t force our women to veil themselves comletely to keep from driving men to have lustful thoughts.
