Unlike Nemtsov, killing Eddie would actually bring some political dividends on the PR field, because many will assume that CIA got to him. So he should fear for his skin.

Mentioned that earlier in the thread…that might have been one of the considerations that led Snowden to rethink his position. Putin would have nothing to lose except a loser living on government money.
