Mine is a Kindle HD7, which is last generation. They’re still available. It’s just big enough to comfortably watch video or surf the net while it’s propped up on my desk while not being so big that it’s a pain. Very good for reading myself to sleep because it’s backlit.

I’m considering that one. The 8.9” one is another possibility, but I have a 7” tablet now and I like the convenience of the size — the same as a B5 paper-based notebook.
