I figure President Biden will squeeze out as much of the budget as he can to help our friends. Whether it’ll be enough to get through the election is the question. Beyond that, there are a lot of doubts about regaining the House, and we haven’t even talked about the possibility of losing the Senate.

The GOP’s House majority is narrow, and with some states being compelled to draw new black majority districts and the continued salience of Dobbs, I believe it is likely that the Democrats will regain control of the House. Unfortunately, the Senate will probably be Republican, however with the need to support Trump’s campaign over, McConnell will want to restart aid to Ukraine.
