I was talking to some older guys about the Depression, and they said that Communism was much bigger then (in the 1930s), that it was fairly open, and it was even honorable to be a Commie. If you weren’t a commie in the 1930s then you were a “rat fink”.

Yea, it was once the modern thing to be a Commie. After WW II, the bloom came off that rose when they saw what it really stood for. Basically, it’s a totally flawed concept that stifles any natural human ambition.
