The Brits usually are much better with grammar than Americans but the unnecessary quotes in headlines is distracting and useless. I’m usually not a grammar Nazi but this is just silly.
Wouldn’t they practice putting allegations or something not yet proved in quotes? I know that’s something that I’ve done for many years just in general writing, but you don’t see a lot of it these days when people take anything for the “truth”.
