I’ve thought about this for a while. Dem crossovers helped get him elected. Does anyone remember all the crossover Dems who voted Republican for McCain? They knew he was one of the weakest candidates and that he would have difficulty with the Repub base so they sabotaged the elections process during the primaries. No doubt that there were much more stronger candidates than the Maverick. For me 2008 and beyond will mark the transition in the American electoral system from fair to blatantly corrupt. From the primary shenanigans to ACORN, to the Black Panthers intimidating voters outside a polling place I feel like I live in a 3rd world country.
