I’m less concerned about Abortion being outlawed (not happening any time soon) than I am about the tactics used to frighten people into not giving or getting them. There are places in this country where abortion may as well be illegal because the doctors are scared s**tless of the consequences that the community will impose on them.

And there are states that would very happily impose restrictions whereby abortion might as well be illegal, because it would become impossible for anyone who isn’t fairly well off to have one.

Not everyone can take a week off and drive to another state or fly to canada as our current fuckwit cavalierly suggests.

And before people jump on me and say “it doesn’t take a week to drive to another state’ —- look at a US map that shows abortion laws by state, and factor in a three day waiting period for the ones likely to pass such laws.

Trust me. The people most likely to be affected by such laws are the people least likely to have the resources to drive to another state, take a week off work, etc.
