I would have preferred it if he would have come out and said he thinks the War Powers act is an unconstitutional constraint on the presidency. I would have supported that but using weasel worded arguments akin to the “depends on the meaning of the word ‘is’” only makes his argument look silly.

I remember similar arguments about the difference between “torture” and “enhanced interrogation techniques”.

So look on this as not war but “enhanced ordinance delivery”.
