Ever since I got on FB a few years ago, I’ve commented on posts that appear in my feed, often because they were liked by family members. Usually those comments die a lonely death, with one or two Likes. In the last week, however, at least 4 times I’ve made comments that got dozens, even hundreds of Likes. One comment on an NPR thread about the Tamir Rice non-indictment got nearly 500 Likes.

What the hell happened? Did I suddenly become eloquent? Or is it just that so many like-minded people have this week off and are hanging out on FB because they have nothing better to do?
