Except they would have to raise taxes because they are barely willing to fund schools as it is; in Oklahoma many schools are on four day weeks because they are so broke. The real rightwing solution is to make teachers buy their own guns and ammo to bring to school.

The real goal is to eliminate public education. The more funding mandated to go into school security, the less that goes into education.

Conservatives and libertarians have been after gutting public education for a long time. They have zero intent of raising a dime in taxes to pay for their proposed solution of turning schools into armed camps.
