It’s the “can’t fail, can only be failed” mindset. It’s not that Bernie is running a shit campaign or is showing a total lack of leadership, it’s that people are actively plotting against him and spreading lies about his supporters. Hence why every Berner confronted about the toxicity of their support whining about “Russian bots!” as being the culprits.

He’s a terrible leader. In ten years, the college kids that supported him will wonder wtf they saw in him.
