I’ve never read the Fifty Shades books, but people I know and trust have deconstructed the entire series chapter by chapter and shown how that entire relationship is nothing but domestic abuse made to look like kink.

Not surprising. Fifty Shades is nothing but Twilight fan fiction with the names changed, and Twilight is a terrible relationship made to look like a romance.
