Yeah, I hope so, too. Bad thing about a lot of new (but cheaply made) construction is that trusses and rafters are made with 2x4s now (and for a long time here in the South) where they used to be built with 2x6s. My first house, built in 1956, used 2x6s, but the second house, built in the ’70s, used 2x4s. I would hope houses which had to handle a lot of snow would be built with 2x8s in order to handle it.
