Asking the wrong guy since I don’t want to be able to use the word. I think some white people have this delusional idea that the n-word is somehow close to cracker or whatever and they think “Hey, a black guy’s called me cracker before so why can’t I use that word?” You can’t explain to these types that cracker hasn’t been used to dehumanize white people the way the n-word has for blacks. And hell furthermore cracker like the n-word was made up by whites. I can laugh if I’m called cracker or honkey because the white people haven’t been subject to slavery, injustice, etc by black people using that word.

“The Cracker’s” was also the nickname of a former Atlanta, Georgia, minor league baseball team. Hard to get your panties in a wad over a term that even white folk giggle at.
