I used to go into a pizza joint and asked, “How many slices in a large?” They’ll say 10. I’ll ask “can you make it 8, I don’t think I can eat 10.” Then watch their face as they process that.

One of my daughter’s friends worked at a Mickey D’s drive-through window and got a charge one night out of having a driver specify he wanted his order “to go.” I started doing that too until family members in the same car complained.
