There’s some big stories in this: for one thing, the presence of the Egyptian Parliamentary member (I’m taking the red arrow at face value). I’ll tune into NPR this afternoon. I’m sure they’ll do a story on this.

Among other things I learned from this video is that the word “אנחנו” (we/us) is the same in Hebrew and Arabic. I never knew that.

I’ve learned that if you say something, especially something about God or food, over and over to me in Arabic, I will eventually figure it out. The cognates are so frequent that you do eventually work the sentence out, albeit in a sort of weird, slantwise way.
