There’s a moment in Mad, Mad, Mad World that is my favorite comedy moment ever.

It’s not even that funny.

They’ve managed to completely destroy an airport. The fire engines are on their way, and smoke is rising from smashed buildings.

As the camera pans over the smoldering, unbelievable scene, it pans across three firemen. Curly, Moe, and Larry.

They were old men by then, but I just loved it. No matter how bad the damage was, it was going to get worse. Much worse.
