For me it wasn’t gin but tequila. I was at a dance in college (didn’t have a date, thankfully) and found a friend who had a flask or something. We kept doing shots. I woke up in bed, but my coat was stuck between the door and the jamb. And it had a half-eaten chunk of brie in the pocket. I didn’t have tequila or brie for probably 25 years. Still not a fan.

Sensory psych fun fact: your body learns to distrust food if you vomit after consuming it, even if it didn’t cause the emesis.
