Thank you everyone who responded. One of the issues in philosophy I’ve thought a lot about is how to better self-assess for bias (or whether it is even possible to do so).

It’s really, really hard to self-asses — your best bet is to ask your smartest, least tactful, most intellectually honest friend to do the assessments (or an acquaintance, if your friends are too tactful for the job)
