Yeah I agree with the Kerry 04 comp more than Romney 08. Hardly any Democrats were really enthused by Kerry. They were more like well he’s not Bush. Well Anyone But Bush was a failure just like I predict anyone but Obama will be because you need to give people a reason to vote for you and not just against the other guy.

The only caveat to that is that Bush still had a decent economy to work with, and a better approval rating. IOW optimism about Obama’s chances are probably his worst enemy. It’s going to be a struggle and it’s probably going to be very close.
