I’m going to take this moment to share what I just read on A. Sullivan’s blog:

Maybe, just maybe the tide has turned. I’m so full of anguish that it took the deaths of little kids. But it is what it is.

That image of the kids being led from the shool is the moral equivalent of the photo of the naked girl running from the napalm attacks in Vietnam: a turning point in public opinion.

Politicians know they no longer fear the Wrath of the NRA if they stand up to them. And the RWNJs who are used to doubling down and ramping up the rhetoric are finding that nobody is willing to approve or even tolerate their BS talking points any more.
