Well, merely drawing cartoons of Muhammad will never be “not free speech”, whether done with an evil agenda or not. [Excluding the “ticking bomb” scenarios, which are purely theoretical.]

I would actually ban explicitly racist cartoons in Europe. The US has its own free speech tradition, so I wouldn’t in the US.

That’s why it’s OK for an asshole to wear a swastika armband in Illinois, but I don’t care if the Germans outlaw it. They have the more immediate need.
