As noted at Wonkette on Sen. Rand Paul dodging on whether he would condemn usage of Ivermectin for Covid-19 (saying it hasn’t been studied yet, simply to spite Donald Trump, two lies in one):

We haven’t studied whether strips of Rand Paul’s liver would work against Covid-19 (served with fava beans and a nice Chianti).

This disingenuous argument (drug X hasn’t been studied for Covid-19) has been long used by quacks to justify all kinds of crap. There are tens of thousands of drugs; not every drug is tested for every condition.
