I’m sure the attorneys for Alharbi wouldn’t have filed if they didn’t think they had a strong chance of coming out with a lot of money. And the thing is, Beck has been in media for a lot of years. I’m sure he knows the little weasel phrases he could use to avoid exposing himself to this kind of thing, but he just can’t help himself. The mark of a true hater.

I’d be really surprised if Beck doesn’t have to shell out some dough this time.

Coming out with a lot of money. I happen to agree and it’s interesting that Alharbi’s lawyers didn’t include a dollar amount in their claims for relief. They’re leaving it up to the court/jury to decide. In other words, the sky’s the limit.

That can actually work against any kind of settlement at this early stage since no one is working with hard figures.

I would expect this to settle in the low 7, upper 6 figure range, plus costs.

Then again, if this goes to trial and the jury finds malice, all bets are off and he could look at a huge verdict.
